Wonder
is all about creating spaces
where children of color
can enjoy the magic of the
holiday season in a way that
reflects their lived experience.

The Black Business Bazaar is
full of Black chefs, bakers, wine
vendors, mixologists and more!
The first Black Business Bazaar was held in Indianapolis in 2016 and continues to be a popular avenue to bring together community members to celebrate the holiday season while giving back to others and supporting Black Owned Businesses. Held every winter; (like the Black Owned Business Block Party), this event helps us fulfill part of our mission by supporting Black Owned/Black Led agencies that serve underrepresented populations. As such, all vendor registration fees go directly to the Fay Biccard Glick Community Center to support their Christmas Outreach initiatives. In return, we get to offer a Black-owned marketplace featuring 100 vendors, a Black Santa Experience, a COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination clinic for the community to patronize where admission is 100% free.
The event not only provides an opportunity to Encourage Black entrepreneurship and economic empowerment, but also health and wellness, and a celebration of all the melanated magic of the holiday season curating wonder in attendees young and old!
That’s right, the Black Business Bazaar (B3) is coming back to Fay Biccard on Saturday, December 17th, 2022! Primary registrations have now closed, and we are only accepting waitlisted vendors. If you have any questions regarding registration, you can contact us at naptowndontsleep@gmail.com.
This year we’re going to have not one, not two, but THREE areas for vendors. Outside (3) will contain our food trucks, some special surprises *maybe I’ll get to do Wakanda Wonderland if I can get enough sponsorships?*
The Pavillion (2) will contain a plethora of vendors as well as our concession stand throughout the gym and corresponding rooms.
The main building (1) will contain our special guest to engage with our tiny visitors as well as additional vendors throughout the space.
All told. We’re jumping from 50 to 100 vendors. This will be our biggest Bazaar yet.
Our Black Santa Experience has been a yearly component of our Black Business Bazaar since its inception. Intentionally designed to allow patrons and their children an opportunity to meet and engage with a Jolly Old Elf who looks like them! This is especially near and dear to us as there are not many opportunities for children of color to enjoy the magic of the holiday season in a way that reflects their lived experiences.
This year we’re continuing the tradition with Santa Sit-In Photo Opportunities with Rae Marcel Photography, Letters to Santa with Ronald A Craig Jr, free cookies for the first 1000 kiddos in attendance provided by Keme Latoya of Somethin’ Sweet and Saint Nick will be sitting atop a throne provided by The Burton Luxury Experience!
This year’s event once again takes place at Fay Biccard Glick Neighborhood Center (FBGC)! Located at 2990 W. 71st Street in Indianapolis, IN. FBGC’s mission is to promote civic, social, and personal responsibility in the Crooked Creek service area by providing quality services that enhance the lives of individuals and families.
